Meet LaVondilyn Watson

To her family and friends, LaVondilyn has always been “different”—taking pleasure in pastimes like learning foreign languages, reading, writing, traveling and eating.

A Charleston, South Carolina native, LaVondilyn is the older of only two children.  And having come from a close-knit family, where both of her parents were very outgoing and sociable, she learned early the value of creating bonds and enjoying people.  As a child, she took advantage of opportunities to meet new people and try new things.  By the end of her college years, LaVondilyn had acquired friends of different races and ages, traveled and had numerous incredible experiences! And today she still loves forging relationships with new people!

LaVondilyn strongly believes in not just living life, but loving the life that you live.  She spends most of her time enjoying what she calls her “comforts”—good food, great books, gourmet coffee, profound conversations and passionate worship experiences.  

“When I die, I will certainly die empty, having done all that God has put in my heart to do!” she says.

LaVondilyn holds a B.A. in French & International Trade from Clemson University and an M.B.A. from Charleston Southern University.  She is the publisher of Joyful Noise!, South Carolina’s 1st Praise & Worship Magazine and the founder of Inside Out, a monthly teleconference created to encourage Christian women. 

It is her desire to encourage women of God to live the lives that God created them to live!  “If I had only one prayer, I would pray that everyone would feel what it’s like to live life on purpose,” she says.  LaVondilyn is passionate about building and uplifting the Kingdom of God—hence the name of her company, UPLIFT Publishing Co., which produces Christian publications and marketing tools for local businesses.

LaVondilyn, her husband and sister live in Charleston, South Carolina.  She is currently writing her first fiction novel, entitled Touch, scheduled for release in early 2007.  She would love for her readers to contact her online.
